song lyrics

Jamie Langley

if my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
song lyrics
ripple in still water
when there is no pebble tossed
nor wind to blow

on any given day, in any given moment
words ripple through
a sound track to life
a link to the moment

how the hell can a person go to work in the morning
and come home in the evening and have nothing to say
twenty year old me could never have imagined
how do people let go?

go to the country, build you a home
plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches
not far from
our urban garden edged by peach trees

come on home
come on home
no you don’t want to
be alone
just come on home
left me weeping thinking of Rachel
alone in Mexico City
in this time of corona

so easy for the words to ripple through
