8.4 Chapter Summary

This chapter introduced the ADDIE framework and a sample of instructional design models.  It also discussed the need to consider cultural factors throughout the design process.  This is by no means an exhaustive list of instructional design models, but it provides an awareness of the systematic nature of instructional design and lays the groundwork for further study.  To learn more about the the models highlighted here and many others, the following resources from Instructional Design Central are helpful.
