Abstract
This reflective practice session will provide an inter-institutional perspective on evaluating institutional OEP initiatives using a self-assessment survey tool developed for this purpose. Presenters will provide an overview of the tool and explain what they have learned about characteristics that may affect success and sustainability of OEP initiatives in post-secondary institutions. Ways in which the tool has, or could be, used to inform changing practice will also be discussed. Mentimeter and Padlet will be used to provide opportunities for interactive questions and discussions of the self-assessment tool and the applicability of the tool in the participants’ contexts. The OEP tool will be shared openly as part of the conference and continued feedback and sharing of use cases will be encouraged on the session padlet.
The goals of this reflective practice session are to:
• Describe a new CCBY open educational practices self-assessment tool for post-secondary institutions,
• Discuss findings and considerations for successful institutional-level OEP initiatives.
• Provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on and discuss the applicability of the tool in other institutional contexts
