Leaving

Kristen Hoaglin

He picks up his ruck sack
Walks away
Boards the plane
Off to fight another war
He faces the line
The battle Cries
Rata-tat-tat of his rifle
The real man is never seen again
Just a hollow body
Who looks the same
But the REAL him has been lost
Never seen again
Another casualty of war
