Acknowledgments and Licensing
The ideas which led to the publicaton of the Open Educational Resources Case Studies collection grew out of DOERS Research Working Group discussions which took place during the 2024 DOERS Convening October 11, 2024, in Providence, RI and online.
Project Development
The editors would like to acknowledge the Research Working Group members who assisted with the initial project design, call for proposals, and selection of topics. We were honored to receive over 60 formal reponses to our call for proposals for this volume. Many thanks to Jenny Parks, Michelle Singh, Kylah Torre and Lisa Young.
Peer Review
Each of the pieces in this collection were reviewed by invited scholarly peers with a strong reputation for excellence in open and/or fields directly related to the discipline most closely related to the case study topic. The interaction between the peer reviewers and the authors strengthened the quality of this collection, and has seeded future collaborations. Thank you to Dr. Cynthia Keeton Brown, Larry Burns, Jen Mayer, and Marco Seiferle-Valencia.
A Note About Style
Each author was invited to write in the manner and according to the style guide most closely associated with their scholarly discipline. Readers will note differences throughout in author voice, citation and reference style, capitalization, abbreviations, and punctuation. The editors respected author choice regarding spelling of words which differ geographically. Where questions have arisen during copy-edit, the editors contacted the authors for clarification and respected author choice. Kathy Essmiller added the material to Pressbooks. Glaring and ridiculous errors are likely hers, email kathy.essmiller@okstate.edu and she will a) be excited you are reading the book and b) fix the issue. Thank you!
A small number of advance reader copies were made available to targeted open education scholars; all of the copies were claimed within thirty minutes of their being made available. The editors appreciate the feedback the advance readers shared prior to the official publication of this volume. Thank you, friends!
