Degrease      the copper      plate with denatured alcohol

 

Scrub           your body      with non-moisturizing soap           use no lotion

Cut       a rectangle.      of contact       paper slightly           larger than the plate

Measure four blocks of tape           the roll inked with lines for your

convenience               cut two              of this length

peel back       the edge         and apply overlapping plate edges

without stretching,            adhere two finger widths to your skin

rub vigorously– warm increases effectivity

smooth                the paper with the cold edge             of a plastic squeegee

use the ID          printed           a fading name that is not yours

smooth down                  as you peel back

press            flat            cover in tape

 

prepare             tacky blue ink

congratulations                  it’s a boy

 

 


     Beck (he/they) is a graphic design junior at OSU. He minors in studio art with a focus in printmaking, where he has found the freedom to explore his gender in a variety of ways through his artwork. He loves finding ways to connect his personal life and interests into his artwork, combining realistic everyday struggles with concepts typical of fantasy and sci-fi media. Though his main passion is in visual image-based art, he has always loved writing and enjoys doing so during any rare moment of free time.
