Althea Lackey is a Studio Art major working towards finishing their Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography at OSU with a minor in Art History. Much of their work is photograph based and is inspired by artists such as Man Ray, Francesca Woodman, and Eva Stenram. Their photos encompass the themes of uncanny and everyday spaces and using limited added elements to the scene. They incorporate carefully placed lighting to emphasize objects within the space. Althea is currently located in Stillwater, OK and plans to attend OU’s Library Science master’s program after finishing their undergraduate degree. Their work has been displayed at the OSU Museum of Art, Gardiner Gallery of Art, and The Chateau Gallery. As well as two juried shows at different locations put together by Society for Photography Education.
