Althea Lackey is a Studio Art major working towards finishing their Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography at OSU with a minor in Art History. Much of their work is photograph based and is inspired by artists such as Man Ray, Francesca Woodman, and Eva Stenram. Their photos encompass the themes of uncanny and everyday spaces and using limited added elements to the scene. They incorporate carefully placed lighting to emphasize objects within the space. Althea is currently located in Stillwater, OK and plans to attend OU’s Library Science master’s program after finishing their undergraduate degree. Their work has been displayed at the OSU Museum of Art, Gardiner Gallery of Art, and The Chateau Gallery. As well as two juried shows at different locations put together by Society for Photography Education.
Amber Goodfellow emerges as a determined first-generation college student, charting her course toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Oklahoma State University. Her academic journey began with an associate’s degree in Behavioral Science at NOC, where she thrived before transitioning to OSU in Fall 2021. Bound for graduation in May 2025, Amber’s dedication to her budding art practice and academic excellence has earned her multiple scholarships and leadership recognitions. Amber’s artwork delves into the realms of psychology, symbolism, popular culture and the transcendental. Focused primarily on sculpture and drawing, she explores the performance and theatricality of the world stage, delving into the structure of self and her own transcendental practices. In sculpture her visual aesthetics veer into the grotesque, the macabre, and the obscene, contrasting her 2D work often featuring heavy ink layers, deep charcoal shadows and ultraviolet pigments, creating a captivating and immersive experience for viewers. In addition to her studies, Amber works as a studio monitor for 3D Design and Sculpture within the art department, overseeing students in wood and metal shops. Her role not only demonstrates her commitment to her craft but also her leadership within her artistic community. Her unconventional journey into the world of studio art, without formal training until her 30s, speaks to her resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to her craft. Antoinette Dunkerley is an Oklahoma State University third-year transfer student from Tulsa Community College. She is currently studying Spanish, History, and Art. She enjoys spending her time traveling to different cities, states, and countries to fully immerse themselves in other cultures. She plans on becoming a teacher to educate future generations on the power and importance of creativity, culture, and life skills.
Briauna Hayes is currently studying English; creative writing as an undergraduate at Oklahoma State University. Much of Briauna’s work targets emotional subjects surrounding complex interpersonal relationships with family members, friends and loved ones alike.
Beck Hodge (he/they) is a graphic design junior at OSU. He minors in studio art with a focus in printmaking, where he has found the freedom to explore his gender in a variety of ways through his artwork. He loves finding ways to connect his personal life and interests into his artwork, combining realistic everyday struggles with concepts typical of fantasy and sci-fi media. Though his main passion is in visual image-based art, he has always loved writing and enjoys doing so during any rare moment of free time.
Braxton Thompson is currently a theatre major at Oklahoma State University, and a Stillwater resident. He enjoys partaking in as many forms of creative expression as possible. When it comes to writing, he draws from his own experiences which may be, at times, a little bizarre. He focuses on his queer experiences in rural Oklahoma, and the romantic travesties that come with it.
Britney Driskel is a senior at Oklahoma State University. She’s majoring in psychology with a minor in creative writing and plans to pursue creative writing for her career. Among various topics including LGBTQ+ and feminism, she writes speculative fiction, dark fantasy, historical fiction, poetry, and more.
Cecil Boschert (he/him) is an undergraduate student majoring in Entomology and minoring in Creative Writing. He was born in Texas but grew up in Owasso, Oklahoma. He likes collecting insects and is currently a performer at the Castle of Muskogee Renaissance Festival.
Charlie Kahner Enderby (she/they) is an Oklahoma-based writer and student. She loves writing about different aspects of growing up in the Bible Belt as a queer femme and themes such as homophobia, sexism, and heartbreak. Chris Settle is from St. Louis, Missouri. He’s pursuing a degree in English and Computer Science. He loves writing and analyzing literature, especially science fiction.
Corben Horton is a graduate from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English – Creative Writing. He has been published in Frontier Mosiac and Zoe Grace Publishing Magazine. Corben is an avid reader and writer of the fantasy genre, and even wrote a defense of genre fiction against academia’s criticisms for his senior honors thesis.
Hannah Bernstein is a sophomore at OSU pursuing a double major in Studio Art and Graphic Design. She is currently vice president of Graphic Design Club and an active participant in the Artist Society. Her work is primarily figurative and she focuses on simple subject matter like animals, people, and nature.
Iris Reeves is from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and studies at Oklahoma State University. She has been writing all her life and is thrilled to appear in Frontier Magazine. Most times, she can be found birdwatching with her cat, Umbra, or decompressing with British mystery television shows.
Isaac Terry is currently studying and practicing Journalism at Oklahoma State University, with minors in creative writing and Spanish. When he’s not suffocating under his work he enjoys writing, drawing, photography, making music and all things creative. He works to infuse his experiences as a gay man in the south, his Native American roots, and that subtle bubbling rage that lives inside of all of us into much of his art, poetry, and prose.
Jace Bormann is currently a sophomore studying computer science at Oklahoma State University, but in his free time he enjoys honing his photography skills. Ever since he was little, he’s been fascinated by photography as an art form, and now enjoys taking photos of people in urban and unique architectural environments.
Jillian Hope Eckert is an English and strategic communications major at OSU. After graduating this spring, she hopes to work in publishing or nonprofits, sharing her love for the arts. She regularly writes for modmuze, OSU’s student-run fashion and lifestyle magazine, and she plays trumpet in the Cowboy Marching Band. When she’s not reading or listening to music, Jillian spends her time with friends, family, and her dog, Toby.
Josh Lechner studies English with a concentration in creative writing at OSU. He writes poetry and nonfiction, but his main passion is in writing fiction that focuses on queer experiences and coming-of-age storylines. In his free time, Josh can be found listening to Taylor Swift, reading fantasy novels, or buying candles he doesn’t need. He lives in Oklahoma City with his fiancé and dog.

Katie Leigh (she/her) is a Junior at Oklahoma State University. She is pursuing dual degrees in English and History, meaning she spends much of her free time writing essays. In the future, she hopes to attend graduate school, write even more essays, and continue pursuing her goal of publishing original poetry. In her work, she explores topics such as social issues, relationships, and mental illness. She currently lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma in an apartment overrun with roommates.
Lauren King is currently studying both English and strategic communications at Oklahoma State University, and she will graduate in the spring. After graduation, Lauren hopes to work for a public relations firm, where she can pursue her love for writing within her career. Lauren is most interested in literary fiction, and she enjoys exploring realms of the supernatural, horror and mystery genres. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Laynee Wessel is a writer and sophomore at Oklahoma State University. In her writing, she prefers to explore grief, gender, and the nature of love. Her work has received the PTA Reflections contest National Award of Excellence and has been featured in Oakland Arts Review’s ninth volume.

Lillian Cordes is a contemporary figurative artist based in New York who explores the complexities of the female form. She is known for her distorted figurative elements and creates an abstract construction of superimposed forms. Lillian works in mixed media consisting of Oil, Charcoal, and ink. She uses expressionistic mark-making to convey the fleeting of time and movement. Her work relies on themes of self-discovery, Vulnerability, and Empowerment. She is fascinated with the effects societal implications have on the perception of womanhood. Lillian is graduating with a BFA from Oklahoma State University in spring of 2024 and is pursuing her practice as she completes her MFA In New York. She has been featured in multiple group exhibitions.
Mars Core is an English major at OSU studying Creative Writing. They plan to remain at OSU and pursue an MFA in Poetry. Their first love is illustration, and their work explores self-reconciliation and otherness, often through connection to the sea, marine wildlife, and speculative fictions. They live in Jenks, Oklahoma, and spend their time not writing adding new sharks to their collection of trinkets.
Megan Blodgett is currently studying English at Oklahoma State University. She is the Poetry Editor for Frontier Mosaic, though both of her pieces published in this edition of Frontier Mosaic fall into other genres. The pieces being published by her in this edition are “Habeas Corpus” and “Tornado Season.” As a writer, she is interested in exploring themes of womanhood and mental health in various genres. Outside of writing and school, she enjoys crocheting, trying (and often failing) to become an amateur gardener, and being with her elderly tabby cat, Jake.
Michael Clark is an Oklahoma State University sophomore majoring in strategic communications. Raised in Loco, Oklahoma, he has had two stories published before turning 21. As a fan of avant-garde art, he enjoys blending various genres and ideas together to try and make completely unique stories. In his free time, Michael writes for newspapers and buys useless toys for his cat.
Olive Shuyler is a first-year student at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Elementary Education. She is from a small town in Oklahoma called Mutual. Color and detail are typically emphasized in her art, with the goal of celebrating the smaller parts of the world around her. She is most passionate about community, creativity, and learning. She hopes that one day she can use art in her classroom to help students think creatively!
Peerlyce Dorsey is an artist from Mississippi with a keen eye for detail, a passion for creativity, and love for creating awesome visuals. They are currently studying fine arts, graphic design, and general business in college. Inspired by a reference from “Getty images”, their latest creation, ‘Bank of Dreams,’ is a testament to their love for blending imagination with design. This piece embodies the hope and promise of bright futures.
Ryan Stiehl is an aspiring creative writer and senior at OSU. When he’s not in the midst of academic season, he lives in north Texas with his wonderful wife and handsome, very silly husky-malamute mix, Rambler.
