Writing Strategies

Practice using the writing strategy you are interested in. Consider experimenting with outlining, clustering, or stream of thought.

Use your chosen strategy to brainstorm about the significant event you want to write about. If you haven’t decided yet, brainstorm about an event you might be interested in writing about.

Next, discuss in small groups OR use the space below to share which strategy you chose and what you did/did not find useful about the strategy.

Finally, in the space below, use what you came up with in your writing strategy to construct a short narrative (about a paragraph long) about the event you chose.
